Dental veneers in Albania: prices, materials and how many visits you need

Dental veneers are thin shells of ceramic bonded to the front of the teeth to improve their colour, shape and small imperfections. More and more patients from abroad have them done in Albania: the aesthetic result matches a good clinic at home, at a much lower price. Here is what to know before you travel.

How much do veneers cost in Albania?

At Roma Dental Clinic in Durrës an E.max ceramic veneer costs from 20,000 lek (about €220) per tooth. The first visit and consultation cost 1,000 lek (about €11). The final price depends on how many teeth are treated and on your case: after the visit you receive a treatment plan and a written quote.

A full smile usually needs 6 to 10 veneers on the upper arch. You can find all current prices in our price list.

Why are they cheaper in Albania?

Not because of cheaper materials: we use the same E.max ceramic used by clinics across Europe. The difference comes from lower running costs in Albania (rent, staff, taxes). For larger cosmetic treatments the saving remains significant even after flights and hotel.

Ceramic or composite veneers?

  • E.max ceramic: very natural and bright, does not change colour over time and is strong. It is the longest-lasting option.
  • Composite: cheaper and done in one session, but it tends to stain and wear sooner.

During the visit we decide together which material best suits your teeth and your expectations.

How many visits do you need?

Usually two appointments during the same trip, about a week apart:

  1. First visit: check-up, cleaning if needed, smile design, tooth preparation and digital impression. You leave with temporary veneers.
  2. Second visit: try-in and bonding of the final veneers.

Before you travel you can send us a few photos of your smile on WhatsApp: we will give you a first idea of the treatment and its cost.

How long do veneers last?

With good hygiene and regular check-ups, ceramic veneers last on average 10–15 years and often longer. Avoid using your teeth to open things and, if you grind your teeth at night, wear a night guard. Read our tips on how to care for ceramic veneers.

How to choose a clinic in Albania

  • Ask for a written quote stating the number of veneers and the material.
  • Look at photos of real cases from the clinic, not stock images.
  • Make sure you get a proper examination before any tooth is prepared.
  • Choose a clinic that explains every step clearly in a language you understand.

Frequently asked questions

Do veneers damage your teeth? Preparation is minimal and removes only a thin layer of enamel. That is why a careful assessment during the visit matters.

Does it hurt? No: preparation is done under local anaesthetic, and afterwards you may feel only some sensitivity for a few days.

Can veneers be whitened? No, ceramic cannot be whitened. If you want lighter teeth where there are no veneers too, whitening should be done first.
