Dental implants are the most expensive treatment for most patients, which is why so many people look abroad. Albania has become a popular option for patients from the UK and across Europe. Here is what to expect if you are considering implants in Albania.
How much do implants cost in Albania?
At Roma Dental Clinic in Durrës a dental implant costs from 35,000 lek (about €380) and a zirconia crown on top of it from 15,000 lek (about €165). The final price depends on the number of implants, the quality of the bone and the type of restoration: a single crown, a bridge or a full fixed arch. After the examination and X-ray you receive a written treatment plan and quote. See our full price list.
How many trips do you need?
- First trip: examination, digital X-ray, treatment planning and implant placement under local anaesthetic.
- Healing: the implants bond with the bone over a few months at home. In visible areas you can usually wear a temporary tooth.
- Second trip: digital scan and fitting of the final crowns or bridge.
If you have lost all the teeth in one jaw, All-on-4 or All-on-6 gives you fixed temporary teeth, usually within 3–5 days of surgery.
Which implants and techniques are used?
We use Euroteknika and DIO implants, with digital planning, Magnetic Mallet and Sonosurgery for gentler surgery, and PRF from your own blood to support healing. Read more on our dental implants page.
Who is a good candidate?
Most healthy adults who have lost one or more teeth can have implants. Extra care is needed for people with uncontrolled diabetes, heavy smokers and patients taking some bone medications. If bone is limited, bone grafting or a different implant plan is often possible. Every case is assessed individually with an X-ray.
